What’s up with Fashion Dad?
On September 4th, 2009, I became a father. I wanted to start a “Dad Blog” shortly after but couldn’t find any available domains for the taking. I mean, seriously, most every domain with the word “dad” in it was already taken. So, at that point I think I looked down at my shoes (I have a lot of them) and realized I could call my dad blog… Fashion Dad.
I subsequently did my first blog post on a toddler fedora because they were so hard to find for my son at the time who was not even 9 months old.
Do you work in the fashion industry?
Not anymore. I used to be a buyer for a local Seattle retailer. At that time I was buying both Men’s and Women’s footwear and apparel.
What do you do now?
I work for a social media agency in Seattle, WA and I do freelance writing from time to time on sites like Procter & Gamble’s Man of The House.
I’m also a big tech geek, so you’ll see posts on gadgets and other random stuff that speaks to me.
